Defeat, but better score

Redakce

Olympic Lyon's organisers of the second leg of the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League were so excited by their qualifying in such a decisive manner that they did not respect the UEFA's regulation requiring that visitor team's coach should be interviewed first.

Mladá Boleslav's coach Karel Jarolím was rather brief in his comments on the second defeat by Lyon: "We wanted to play a better score than in the first match. Unfortunately, although we equalised and the match progressed in our favour afterwards, we received a second goal after our free kick; we shouldn't allow our opponents to get to breaks like that."
Hubert Fournier, the manager of Lyon, showed discontent about his team's bad beginning. He put it down to players' feeling of satisfaction: "We won the first match 4:1 and the players felt like they'd already qualified. But this time we faced an opponent that was good in defence and played well."
