Mladá Boleslav overcame ŠirokiBrijeg and are ready to challenge Lyon, France

Boleslav handled the second leg of the second qualifying round of the Europa League with style scoring four times. They are going to face Olympic Lyonnais in the third qualifying round. The match takes place at their home stadium next Thursday.

Both coaches made changes in the line-up before the second leg. Jarolím engaged Navrátil in the position of the centre fullback, who had served his disciplinary punishment, instead of Hůlka, and also put Magera, who had recovered from his illness, to the attacking midfielder's position: therefore, leaving Milla among the substitutes. ŠirokiBrijeg's Musa preferred Markovič to Barišič as the left fullback and Peko substituted Zadr as the right forward.
In the first half Boleslav performed exactly as they had wished to. Although ŠirokiBrijeg's Zakarovič was the first player to have a scoring chance after cutting through Boleslav's defence in the 10th minute and running towards Hruška; however, luckily enough, he was pursued and tackled by Smejkal, who kicked the ball behind the back line. In the following minute Ďuriš entered ŠirokiBrijeg's penalty area, shot from an angle, but Soldo, the goal keeper, sent the ball out.
In the 19th minute Ščuk's wonderful pass sent Skalák to a break, he decoyed the goal keeper and masterfully scored - 0:1.
ŠirokiBrijeg were close to equalising in the 27th minute. Zakarič got past Bořil and directed a pass to Peko, whose shot was a metre wide though he was at the 6-yard line. Šísler then headed Bořil's pass and missed the goal, Soldo managed to drive Mager's accurate free kick towards the right pole out of the goal, Skalák's free kick went past the wall and was a close miss. Peko, fought his way into Mladá Boleslav's penalty area, but the ball bounced off his feet and he failed to score.
In the second half Boleslav guarded their victory and added three more goals.
In the 55th minute Ščuk sent a marvellous straight pass to Ďuriš, who withstood a defender's tackle and overcame ŠirokiBrijeg's goal keeper with a ground shot - 0:2. Five minutes later, Šísler failed to cash Štohanzl's pass. In the 62nd minute Ďuriš was coming all alone towards ŠirokiBrijeg's goal, but was met by the goal keeper, and Skalák's successive attempt from a long distance was saved by a defender guarding the abandoned goal. Next, Boleslav played two corner kicks in the 65th minute, and three minutes later, Hruška saved Wagner's free kick. In the 74th minute Magera exchanged the ball with Milla, who sent a pass from the right flank to the penalty area and Rosa directed his accurate header to the left post - 0:3.
Boleslav enjoyed the last fifteen minutes in an unexpected peace. In addition, they scored one more time.
In the 85th minute Skalák's pass from the right flank reached Šultes, whose low shot was blocked by a defender, but the ball came to Ďuriš, who did not hesitate and scored - 0:4.
Boleslav defeated NK ŠirokiBrijeg twice, 2:1 and 4:0, and entered the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League, where they will face a much more powerful rival - Olympique Lyonnais.
