Draw was the last score in the European League for them
Boleslav footballers did not manage to overcome their opponent from Larnaca in either of the two matches, and consequently left the European competition faster than they had imagined when coming back to it after four years of tremendous effort.
Unlike the first match in Cyprus the rematch saw Chramosta and Procházka on the bench. Their places were taken by Štohanzl and Zahustel. Larnaca also made to changes in their basic lineup. Fortin replaced Negri in the goal, Ekeh took Pavlov's midfield position (in the first match this came after an hour into the game).
Boleslav players entered the pitch with a clear mission - score as soon as possible and get the rival under pressure. This was the only way to erase the three-goal gap from the first match. They got three corner kicks in the first ten minutes, they pushed for offensive in the first half, but Larnaca's defence resisted.
Miller's cage was threatened by breaks, namely of Priso who missed great chance in the 29th minute. In the next minute, after Zahustel's centre pass was nicely headed by Řezníček, the ball missed the goal.
Ten minutes before the end of the first half rain started to pour, and lasted until the end of the match. Important moment, perhaps the most important for the whole match, came in the 43rd minute. Štohanzl zigzagged through the middle by three opponents all the way to the goalie, but he failed to score. He only hit Fortin. And the counterattack led by Larnaca's Priso succeeded to break through on the right wing in front of Miller, and juts next to his right hand the ball made it into Boleslav's net - 0:1.
No wonder the mood of Boleslav team leaving the field for the break was gloomy.
Yet the players mobilized all their strength and fought for reversal from the very first minute of the second half. After cooperation with Chramosta who had replaced Kulič it was Řezníček in the 51st minute who made it into the 18-yard box, where he was tripped. Danish referee ordered penalty kick, and Řezníček used to opportunity to equalize the score - 1:1.
Kysela's blocked shot in the 75th minute was delivered into the rival's goal by sliding Štohanzl - 2:1.
At that moment Boleslav needed to add three more goals. However, two minutes later Larnaca made the score even again.
Penalty kick after the unfortunate action of Janíček was fully utilized by Mrdakovic - 2:2.
Eight minutes to the end Priso was sent off the pitch after the second yellow card. The power play took more than ten minutes, because the referee added four minutes of time, but Boleslav has not used it. Řezníček, Opiela, heading Janíček and Rolko, and even Chramosta falling down in the penalty area - nobody succeeded to score the winner.
