The Boleslav players deservedly earned three points in Southern Bohemia. They played significantly more mature football than their opponent, and expressed their superiority in the game with goals as well. They defended their fifth place in the Gambrinus league and have the same amount of points as Jablonec, only one point behind Olomouc.

This game saw the return matches of the second half of the Gambrinus league 2010/11 begin for both teams. The first match saw Boleslav draw with Budějovice 1:1 at home. Before the duel in November, the coaches of both the teams had to deal with enforced absences. Boleslav was missing the injured Chramosta, Kalina, and Janíček. Budějovice had Hudson in treatment and Lencevič punished for disqualification during the cup.

The first half panned out for Boleslav in accordance with their most optimistic expectations. Budějovice fought hard for the first goal chance in the 3rd minute, but Miller fended Ondrášek's angled shot away with his legs, and Lengyel overshot the Boleslav goal from the subsequent corner. The Boleslav players soon took control of the game with their confidence and accurate passing.
In the 17th minute Fabián penetrated along the left line, passed the ball to Kulič at the edge of the penalty box who unselfishly passed to Opiela. The Boleslav striker looked at where the goalie Kučera was standing, and by firing his shot inside the left post gave him no chance - 0:1.

Budějovice tried to reply within two minutes but fortunately, the jam in the Boleslav penalty box after Žižka's centre from the left side did not end up in a goal.
In the 31st minute, Mezlík unnecessary brought down Kúdela on the half-way line. He took the free kick and found Mendy who headed the ball across the Budějovice penalty box, Kulič chested the ball down and half-volleyed the ball with his right foot inside the right goalpost - 0:2.

Boleslav played the rest of the match with ease. They survived a series of corners ten minutes before the break, and at the other side end of the field continued to threaten Kučera especially from corner kicks.

The second half began with a more active Budějovice. For ten minutes they pressed the Boleslav goal, but to no avail. However, the Boleslav players were more productive.
In the 61st minute Fabián stopped a Budějovice attack and released Řezníček with a long pass, his perfect curling cross found the run of Kulič who ruffled the Budějovice net for the third time with his low shot to the right goalpost around a helpless Kučera - 0:3.

The restart saw Budějovice attack and Ondrášek overshot Šírl and where Miller's reaction saved a certain goal with his foot. Even though the Budějovice players kept pushing into Boleslav's penalty box, they only sporadically called Miller into action.
In the 75th minute, Kulič released Řezníček; however, his shot from fifteen meters was inaccurate.
Ten minutes before time the Boleslav's coach, Stanner, made his first substitution. He replaced a tiring Opiela with a fresh Kysela, and the referee immediately awarded a penalty against him when he committed a foul on the edge of the 6 yard box. Otepka expertly turned it - 1:3.

The remaining time, including the added two minutes, saw Boleslav protect their victory. They earned three valuable points, but lost three players for the next league match at home against Slavia Prague. Fabián, Řezníček, and Johana were all booked for the fourth time.
