Retaliation during a half
The Boleslav team demolished their rivals from Liberec in the first half. Pecka scored twice and Kulič and Procházka also scored. Moreover, Mendy hit the woodwork. Nezmar reduced the gap for Liberec just before the break to make the score 4:1. The Boleslav players continued their active play in the second half, however they were unable to increase their advantage. They did however manage to avenge the 1:4 defeat they suffered in April during the first half...
Pecka made the first two cuts in the Liberec defence with two goals scored in two minutes. The first was a powerful header from a centred pass from Kúdela after Mendy's deep penetration - 1:0. He then overcame Zlámal for the second time in the 20th minute with a delicate touch after a deep run on the left-hand side and a great pass from Táborský - 2:0.
Mendy was unlucky as he hit the left-hand upright of the Liberec goal after a good build-up between Táborský and Kulič in the 26th minute. The Liberec defenders were under constant pressure from Pecka and Kulič and were unable to defend a long kick-out by Vorel in the 36th minute, but Kulič ran onto the long ball and without hesitation beat the Liberec goalkeeper one-on-one - 3:0.
However, this was not the worst moment for Zlámal which came in the 40th minute. Procházka shot from thirty-metres out after receiving a pass from Djalovič and his grass cutting shot crept between the legs of the Liberec goalkeeper and over the goal line - 4:0.
The clear score difference was modified two minutes before the break by Nezmar when he cleverly touched on a ball from a free kick taken by Janů - 4:1.
The Boleslav players also pushed forward in the second half but they could not find the fifth goal desired by the audience. Táborský went close in the 63rd minute as his header from Djalovič's centred pass just cleared the crossbar after a good build-up involving half of the Boleslav team.
Liberec's Dočkal threatened twice around the 72nd minute. Kúdela blocked his centred pass in front of Nezmar in the goal area before Vorel diverted his ferocious shot over the crossbar in the next attack. The Boleslav goalkeeper sustained an injury during his superb save and received treatment for three minutes before seeing out the remainder of the match.
