Chramosta almost cancelled a tie
The Boleslav head-coach Dušan Uhrin sent a squad for the opening round match of the Gambrinus liga 2009/10 between SK Slavia Praha and FK Mladá Boleslav without Sylvestre and Pecka. Mendy became the first player to score after a goalless first half. Jarolím equalised for Slavia from an alleged free kick. Chramosta hit the crossbar of an unattended Slavia goal in the last minute.
Both teams started carefully but in spite of this fact, scoring chances appeared in front of both goals. Vorel diverted a smart shot by Vlček from a corner kick around his goal for another corner in the 9th minute. The Boleslav team responded in the 12th minute with a free kick by Táborský which was saved by Vaniak, jumping towards his right-hand post. A J. Černý shot from more than twenty metres in the 14th minute deflected off Kysela and a powerless Vorel pushed the ball out of the unattended half of his goal with his eyes.
Kulič took the first Boleslav corner kick in the 36th minute but Rolko's header just cleared the crossbar of the Slavia goal.
The Boleslav players continued focusing on their attentive defence after the break. The Slavia players, with the support of the terraces, tried to overcome this with crosses from both sides but were stopped by a well organised defence dominated by Rajnoch and Rolko, who was particularly outstanding in the aerial duels.
Boleslav won the first corner kick of the second half in 68th minute. Kulič took it and Rolko's unsuccessful shot, from amidst a mess in the Slavia defence, fell in front of the Slavia goal surprising Vaniak who allowed Mendy to beat him to the ball with his head and steer it into the back of the net - 0:1.
Slavia substituted two players and increased the pressure but the home team's equaliser came in unfair style. J. Černý fell in front of the penalty area in the 79th minute even though Procházka tried to step aside. The referee Adam awarded the simulation with a free kick which Jarolím sent into the lower left-hand corner of the Boleslav goal as Vorel stretched in vain - 1:1.
Justice could have been done in the first minute of added time when Vaniak and the Slavia defence underestimated a long pass to Lemessa who shot was blocked on the edge of the penalty area, however the rebound fell to Chramosta and his lob from twenty metres landed on the crossbar of the unattended Slavia goal.
