Bolka defended a point one man down

Redakce

The Boleslav players lost the first half in which they conceded two goals and untimely saw Kalina sent from the pitch. However it was at least a point gained when they scored two late goals while playing a man down. Sylvestre reduced the gap in the 77th minute and Pecka equalized in the second minute of added time. The head-coach of Mladá Boleslav, Pavel Hapal, made two changes to the line-up from the preceding match. He deployed Rolko in defence and Kúdela in the centre of the midfield line. Procházka, Sedláček, Dittrich, Hrdlička, Nečas, Opiela and Šeda were left on the bench, and the injured Kysela, Řezníček and Táborský did not travel with the team to Haná at all.

Players from both sides began the match carefully as the two teams searched for their first win of the spring and were keen to avoid a fatal mistake. Toleski ran through the centre of the Boleslav defence in the 17th minute and fell inside of the penalty area under the shoulder to shoulder of Kalina. The referee Příhoda sent the Boleslav defender off and ordered a penalty kick from which Melinho scored with confidence – 1:0. This was a miserable beginning of the match for Boleslav as the team found itself losing and one man down for the rest of the match. The Olomouc players exploited their one man advantage in the 44th minute. Melinho crossed a high ball from a free kick into the Boleslav penalty area where Hudec sent the ball goalwards from a huddle of players. Miller desperately clawed the ball away from the goal line, believing he prevented it from crossing, however, the line referee was of the opposite opinion and the main referee allowed the goal at his instruction – 2:0. This saw the end of play for the first half.

After changing ends, the Boleslav team lined up with only Janíček, Rolko and Mach remaining in defence. Kúdela, who had finished the first half in the right fullback position for Kalina, returned to the midfield line. The risk allowed the Olomouc players to attack Miller’s goal and did not bring the desired attack into the Mladá Boleslav play.

The Olomouc team tried desperately to score a third goal which would have almost certainly guaranteed them a win. However it was Boleslav who scored against the run of play. Procházka started an attack down the right-hand side in the 77th minute, passing the ball to Nečas who found Sylvestre in front of the Olomouc goal with a nice and precise pass. Drobisz was unable to stretch and save his precisely aimed shot to the right-hand post – 2:1. The Boleslav players lifted and fought back in the struggle for points. The referee only added two minutes of stoppage time but proved sufficient for Boleslav to gain at least one point in the end. Sedláček overcame his opponent in the corner of the penalty area and centred the ball across the width of the goal. Pecka, the Boleslav team captain, was in the correct place at the far post of the Olomouc goal and headed the ball under the crossbar before Drobisz could react – 2:2.
