They feared for points after quick lead

The Boleslav players were a clear front-runner before the match. They were ten positions higher in the league standings and had not lost any of the previous ten league matches played against Kladno. Poláček fulfilled expectations with a goal scored within 41 seconds. Pecka then joined him with his first goal scored since his return to the Gambrinus League but nobody else from the Boleslav team followed them. When Killar, the Kladno skipper retaliated, albeit luckily towards the conclusion of the match, the packed Boleslav stadium feared for the points. Fortunately, they stayed in Mladá Boleslav.

The Boleslav players rushed against their rival’s goal and attacked it relentlessly until a shot by Pecka finally ended in the net – 1:0. The clock showed that it was only the 41st second and the Boleslav audience were already celebrating.

The goalkeeper Pavlík spilled a shot by Mach in the 8th minute and his teammates did not react quickly enough as Pecka and Rajnoch rushed to the fall of the ball on the edge of the penalty area. Pecka shot and scored – 2:0. Kladno were temporarily playing a man down as Gross was undergoing treatment off the pitch and in the end he had to be substituted with a broken nose.

Kalina missed a centring pass from the wing where Zoubele had won the ball and Dubský’s first time shot hit the right-hand upright of Miller’s goal in the 41st minute. Kladno’s shot and their five corner kicks were a reminder that they did not intend to surrender and that they would still pose a threat.

A flow of missed Boleslav chances continued after the break. A centred pass by Kalina dropped to Poláček in the 63rd minute. He fell when attempting a sidestep demanding a penalty kick, but the referee did not whistle and booked the Boleslav player for alleged diving instead. Pavlík centred pass found its way into the box in the 66th minute but the defenders prevented Mendy from shooting. A challenge on the penetrating Kalina in the Kladno penalty area smacked of a penalty but none was given.

Miller deflected a ball onto his left-hand post from a header by the Kladno marksman Šilhan in the 80th minute but there was no support from the Boleslav defenders, and Killar won the ball and fired it home from an acute angle – 2:1.

Kladno got back into the game in the final ten minutes and pushed forward offensively. The Boleslav players defended carefully and attempted to attack on the break, however the score did not change before the three added minutes expired.
