Řezníček and Poláček end dark era

Redakce

The Boleslav players ended a two-year waiting period for a win against their rival from Olomouc who showed why they had not lose the four preceding league matches in the Boleslav Městský stadión in the second half. The Boleslav players earned a well deserved two-goal lead in the first half when Řezníček and Poláček overcame Drobisz in the 8th and 30th minutes respectively. Hořava from Olomouc replied in the 57th minute and the struggle for points continued until the last minute of the match. Mladá Boleslav jumped to the third position in the league standings thanks to the win over Olomouc.

The Boleslav players enjoyed a successful opening to the match. Poláček outwitted Hubník on the side line and passed the ball to Řezníček in the penalty area who opened the scoring by smashing a shot under the crossbar of a helpless Drobisz in the 8th minute – 1:0. Olomouc answered the Boleslav goal with a brutal foul by Hubník on Sylvestre at the halfway line. Poláček doubled the Boleslav lead in the 30th minute – 2:0 when he punished a calamitous misunderstanding between the goalkeeper Drobisz and the defender Šuškavčevič with a shot into an empty goal.

The goalkeeper Šeda experienced his own black moment shortly after the break in the 57th minute when he failed to deal with a centred pass into the goal area, and in the consequent mess, Hořava from Olomouc successfully shot through a cluster of players at the left-hand post – 2:1. “I lost the ball in the sunshine so that I hit it poorly, the goal was my fault”, said the goalkeeper Šeda after the match.

Heidenreich headed the ball poorly from a corner kick with a quarter of the match remaining. Even though he was unmarked, his header flew over the Boleslav crossbar after a rebound off the ground. Pecka, returning from injury, was applauded by the crowd and for the last half an hour helped clinch the win.
