The first half result decided the tie
The match between Mladá Boleslav and Jablonec ended for the third consecutive time in an identical tied score 1:1 . Jablonec scored through Pavlík and were a more active team for half an hour. However, the Boleslav players dominated the remainder of the match. They equalised through Řezníček just before the break and missed a number of promising scoring chances after it. They extended their undefeated streak against Jablonec to more than three years, however, they deserved more than only one point on this August evening.
The first half ended in a deserved draw. The Jablonec players started with the more intensive effort and gained the lead in the 6th minute thanks to Pavlík who with his low struck shot beat Miller’s outstretched arm at the right-hand post. – 1:0.
Mendy ran past both Hamouz and Hloušek two minutes before the break before passing the ball to Řezníček who equalised with a shot along the ground – 1:1.
It meant a new beginning after the break.
The referees pulled back Papadopulos who was in an offside position after a pass by Rajnoch. Řezníček ran at the Jablonec defenders twice, Hrdlička concluded the hour mark with a nice long-distance shot, and Sylvestre managed a shot after some nice build up play but the Jablonec goalkeeper was up to the task in all cases.
A diverted shot by Mendy stretched Špit unexpectedly in the 65th minute. On the other side, an attempt by Valenta from a thirty-meter distance did not surprise Miller.
Hloušek headed a centred pass by Lafata and Miller turned away a goal at the cost of a corner kick from the Boleslav goal in the 69th minute. Rajnoch headed the ball away after the corner kick and Poláček broke swiftly towards the Jablonec goal. He passed the ball to Mendy on the left-hand side; Mendy cut inside the Jablonec penalty area and decided on a pass to Řezníček instead of a shot. Rajnoch was not expecting the pass and missed the ball when attempting the return but the subsequent shot was then blocked by the defenders.
Papadopulos stretched for a centred pass by Řezníček in the 79th minute, a Jablonec player pulled him down by his shirt, but the referee Královec only watched benevolently from several steps away. Poláček failed to score after another attack and centred pass by Řezníček and a watchful Špit saved a shot by Hrdlička in the 82nd minute.
