Rajnoch and Rolko Confirmed the Improved Shape of the Team with Goals
The Boleslav head-coach Karel Stanner deployed the winning line-up from Liberec without a single change in the spirit of well-proved football wisdom against Baník Ostrava. He did well. The team showed the best performance this year and obtained three points quite deservedly. The players did not surrender even after an equalizing goal conceded from a penalty kick, survived a weak moment while in the middle of the first half and finished the match to a standing ovation from the satisfied Boleslav audience after the third goal. Mladá Boleslav moved to the seventh position of the league standings while Jan Rajnoch with nine goals scored moved to the third position among the league marksmen of this league season.
The Boleslav players started more actively and got the lead in the 8th minute. With a long pass the stopper Procházka found running Řezníček behind the Ostrava defence; the Boleslav forward tried to sidestep the goalkeeper Vašek but was knocked down by him. The referee did not hesitate and ordered a penalty kick. Rajnoch sent it into the Ostrava net resolutely – 1:0.
The referee Adam judged the duel between Procházka and Magera on the side of the penalty area as a penalty foul in the 33rd minute. The currently best league scorer Svěrkoš equalized from the penalty kick – 1:1.
But the Boleslav players recovered again in the final minutes of the first half and got within shooting distance of the Ostrava goal after a long pause.
A shot by Řezníček did not bring a goal in the 42nd minute after a centre pass by Kalina but the ball rebounded to the unattended Rolko, who managed to get an important lead just before the halftime break with his shot into the unprotected goal from a corner of the goal area – 2:1.
The Boleslav players rushed with enthusiasm in the second half.
They pushed in front of the Ostrava goal and Rajnoch appeared in the best scoring chance. Kalina centre-passed the ball from the left-hand side line after cooperation with Poláček and Mendy in the 47th minute; the Ostrava goalkeeper Vašek hesitated and the ball tangled between the ankles of unprepared Rajnoch so unluckily that he did not manage to score from a two-metre distance in an unprotected goal. But Rajnoch wiped out all memories of the missed chance in the 58th minute. He hit the post after a centre pass by Mendy and was at the rebounded ball before the Ostrava defenders and resolutely waved the net behind helplessly lying Vašek – 3:1.
The Boleslav players showed an excellent attack in the last ten minutes of the match; it was started by Hodúr in the middle of the pitch and continued by Rajnoch, Ševinský and Sedláček along the right-hand side but Táborský missed the Ostrava goal from the goal area after a centre pass by Sedláček.
