Both goals were scored from penalty kicks in the match that certainly offered impressive performance for both the spectators on the terraces and the viewers of the live broadcast of Czech TV. Moreover, at least one other penalty kick in favour of Mladá Boleslav was denied by the referee Matějek. The draw means another unpleasant loss for the Boleslav team on own pitch and a luckily obtained point for Teplice. It was of little use for Mladá Boleslav to be a more active team for most of the playing time when the players were unable to score any goals. Řezníček hit the crossbar only during playing time, the goal was scored by Rajnoch from a penalty kick.

Mladá Boleslav in effort to secure defensive started the match in a standard line-up with four defenders and four midfielders while the opening line-up of Teplice included only one forward, the marksman Fenin, who was alternatively supported from a five-member midfield line by Verbíř, Štohanzl or Doležal. The head-coach of Teplice Rada changed this line-up during the first half, however, it changed nothing in the playing dominance of Boleslav.

The satisfied roar of head-coach Petr Rada could be heard from the Teplice bench after the last whistle in the league match between FK Mladá Boleslav and FK Teplice with the final score 1:1. He was aware of the fact that his team had survived huge pressure from the opponent with a fair amount of luck and that the point obtained was of value. On the contrary, the Boleslav bench was flooded with a wave of disappointment. In spite of the high-quality performance and huge effort, the team did not achieve its desired win. Already for the seventh time in a row.

“The match was extremely interesting for viewers both in the stadium and at home,“ said Zdeněk Ščasný at the opening of his assessment of the league match. And then he sighed that the opponent team took the lead after the first shot at the Boleslav goal, moreover, from a penalty kick. “We surpassed the team of Teplice from the league standings top, but the final result is very poor as we lost another two points at home. I have nothing to reproach the players for as they showed maximum effort. Only power at the end and goals were missing.“

Mladá Boleslav enjoyed the pleasure of winning in Brno on October 6 when the team won 3:0 for the last time. Then they lost successively in the ČMFS Cup in Třinec 1:2, in a league match at home with Slovan Liberec 0:2, tied a league match in Ostrava 3:3 and lost other home matches: a league match with Zlín 0:1 and a match in the UEFA Cup with Villarreal 1:2 and then lost an away match in Plzeň 0:2 and tied a home league match with Teplice 1:1 now.
