Boleslav did not score so that the team lost again

Extraordinary importance of the Saturday’s match between Sigma Olomouc and Mladá Boleslav resulted from an alarming fact that both teams failed in league opening. Olomouc in České Budějovice and Boleslav in the match against Viktoria Žižkov. Both coaches, coincidentally beginners on first-league benches, were aware of this fact. Martin Půlpit, the head-coach of Olomouc, could skip for joy while Luděk Zajíc from Mladá Boleslav had to accept the second tight defeat 0:1 with a frown after the final whistle.
The head-coach of Mladá Boleslav, Luděk Zajíc, congratulated the rival on win at first at the press conference after the match and then started to assess: “Importance of the match was given beforehand by the preceding results and the events on the pitch reflected this. It was about fighting spirit and drive with minimum number of chances on both sides. The home side scored from one of few scoring opportunities when they made a free kick perfectly whereas we missed all of our chances and lost for that reason. We wanted to play football and to combine more but we did not managed the opening minutes of the second half well and the opponent utilized it.“
