FK Mladá Boleslav Keeps in the Top Hundred of the Football Clubs World Ranking
According to the International Federation of Football Historians and Statisticians, Spanish Sevilla FC is the current best football club of the planet while FK Mladá is the second best Czech club on the 84th position of the world ranking. The fresh Czech Champion, AC Sparta Prague, is ranked twenty positions higher. These facts result from assessment for the period between June 1, 2006 and May 31, 2007.
Together with AC Sparta Prague and FK Mladá Boleslav, FC Slovan Liberec is also ranked in the top hundred (94th position). This year's vice champion, SK Slavia Prague, is ranked at the end of the second hundred while the cup finalist FK Jablonec is ranked only in the fourth hundred.
Statisticians assess successfulness of individual clubs for the last twelve months. Mladá Boleslav was ranked on the 95th position in the middle of the championship season, i.e. at the end of 2006 calendar year, which means that the club improved by eleven positions during the last six months.
The International Federation of Football Historians and Statisticians (IFFHS) compiled the latest ranking of football clubs for the period from June 1, 2006 till May 31, 2007 and the top twenty includes the following clubs: 1. Club Atlético Osasuna (Spain), 14. Sao Paulo FC (Brazil) and Tottenham Hotspurs FC (England), 16. Club Libertad Asunción (Paraguay), 17. FC Barcelona (Spain), 18. AZ Alkmaar (the Netherlands), 19. SV Werder Bremen (Germany), 20. Club Nacional de Football Montevideo (Uruguay).
