Boleslav will Play the UEFA Cup without Uhrin
A cloudburst came in Pojizeří region shortly after the final whistle of the match between Mladá Boleslav and Slovan Liberec. If it came an hour sooner, it would have spoiled the football fans excellent show performed mainly by the players of Mladá Boleslav. In spite of this fact, discussions about scored goals or successful actions were covered by information about future activities of the present head-coaches.

"It was my last match in the role of the head-coach of Mladá Boleslav," said Dušan Uhrin but he refused to specify where he is to continue his coaching career. Only at an evening party where he said his goodbye to the players and management of the club officially, he admitted transfer in Romanian Timisoara. The journalists asked also the head-coach of Liberec, Vítězslav Lavička, to inform them about his future in the overcrowded press centre of the Municipal stadium in Mladá Boleslav. "I am not able to answer you whether this was my last match on the bench of Liberec," said he with an enigmatic smile.
The head-coach of Liberec was very disappointed. "This is a very bitter end of the season for us. We knew that we could either much win or much lose in the only one match, we tried to keep pace with the rival but we got under strong pressure in the second half, Boleslav enforced many standard situations from which we also conceded goals," admitted Lavička unwillingly, but without evasions, that his team did not manage to resist the pressure of more active Mladá Boleslav.
"We were defeated deservedly, I congratulate Dušan and Boleslav on today's nice performance and wish them many achievements in the UEFA Cup," added Lavička who was applauded by the audience similarly warmly like the home head-coach Uhrin when leaving the pitch. "It was only small compensation of the cruel defeat."
Of course it was much easier for the head-coach of Boleslav to speak. "It was a difficult match for us, in particular at the moment when we missed the penalty kick as the players became nervous for a certain period after that. We tried to calm the team before the second half and instructed the players to be emphatic in front of the penalty area," said Uhrin. He emphasized that it was apparent on his players how much they wish to win and that they won also thanks to this fact. "We certainly coped with so important match against Liberec also thanks to experience obtained in the matches of European cups during the last year," added Uhrin a significant observation.
The players of Mladá Boleslav will pick other experience in the UEFA Cup thanks to the win against Liberec and thus also obtaining of the third league position. But already without Dušan Uhrin ...
