The international friendly match between the Czech Republic "U21" and the Netherlands "U21" national team will take place in the Municipal Stadium in Mladá Boleslav at 4.30 p.m on Friday, March 23, 2007. This match represents preparation for both teams for the U21 European Championship that will take place in the Netherlands in the first half of June. Football fans will see the future of both Czech and Dutch football in both line-ups for the Friday duel, i.e. the players who will play for their countries in the "A" national teams soon. The Czech nomination includes also Milan Kopic and Jan Kysela from FK Mladá Boleslav.

The U21 national team of the head-coach Ladislav Škorpil met in Prague already on Monday evening. The team has two friendly matches scheduled during following nine days: against the Netherlands in Mladá Boleslav on Friday, March 23 and against Germany in Düsseldorf on Tuesday, March 27.

The high point of this spring season for the U21 national team players will be the U21 European Championship that will take place in Dutch towns of Arnhem, Heerenveen, Nijmegen and Groningen from June 10 till 23, 2007. The Czech team will meet in the qualifying group England on Monday, June 11, Serbia on Thursday, June 14, and Italy on Sunday, June 17.

Nomination of the Czech "U21 national team for March friendly matches consists of the goalkeepers Josef Kubásek (FK Baník Sokolov), Zdeněk Zlámal (FC Tescoma Zlín); defenders Roman Hubník (FK Moskva), Michal Kadlec (AC Sparta Praha), Josef Kaufman (FK Teplice), Jiří Kladrubský (Dynamo České Budějovice), Martin Klein (FK Teplice), Milan Kopic (FK Mladá Boleslav); midfielders Mario Holek (1. FC Brno), Luboš Hušek (AC Sparta Praha), Tomáš Jirsák (FK Teplice), Jan Kysela (FK Mladá Boleslav), František Rajtoral (FC Baník Ostrava), Ladislav Volešák (Dynamo České Budějovice); forwards Martin Fillo (FC Viktoria Plzeň), Jan Holenda (Dynamo České Budějovice), Daniel Kolář (AC Sparta Praha) and Michal Papadopulos (Bayer Leverkusen).

Nomination of the Dutch "U21" national team for the match in Mladá Boleslav consists of the following players: goalkeepers Vermeer (Ajax), Waterman (Alkmaar); defenders Donk (Alkmaar), Drenthe, Vlaar (both Feyenoord), Jong-a-Pin, Zuiverloon (both Heerenveen), Kruiswijk (Groningen), Van der Struijk (Tilburg); midfielders Aissati, Bakkal (both Twente), Bruins (Excelsior), Maduro (Ajax), Sno (Celtic); forwards Beerens (Nijmegen), Jenner (Alkmaar), Rigters (Breda), Vincken (Feyenoord).

The most experienced Dutch player, Maduro from Ajax, appeared already twelve times in the Dutch "A" national team. Four of the nominated players (goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer, defenders Ron Vlaar and Arnold Kruiswijk and the midfielder Ismail Aissati) became European champions in this age category last year.
