Packed Spring Season Will End on the Last May Sunday
Match strain comparable with autumn 2006 waits for football players also in spring 2007. They will play thirteen championship matches of Gambrinus League during eleven weeks from March 10 till May 27 and if they are successful in the domestic ČMFS Cup, they will play three more cup matches.
Two league rounds advanced on Wednesday terms are the reason for the packed spring programme. The first league will be shortened by three weeks when compared with the original schedule. This modification results from participation of the Czech "U21" national team in European Championship that will take place from June 10 to 23, 2007 in the Netherlands. The change of the league schedule was approved at the league meeting on Monday, January 22. The meeting also presented a proposal to start the next season of Gambrinus league 2007/08 on August 4 and to end it on December 8. The clubs can send their comments with respect to the autumn league schedule by February 23, 2007.
The schedule of the spring of FK Mladá Boleslav already contains the match of the 20th round against Sparta in the term of ČT2 TV broadcast. Some changes may occur in case of other matches just because of possible TV broadcast or mutual agreement of clubs. All the matches of the last two league rounds should start at the same terms in order to safeguard fair character of the finals of Gambrinus League.
