Redakce

After the even first half, Mladá Boleslav defeated Slovan Liberec 6:2 deservedly in the small finals for the third position. The skipper Kulič obtained a cheque for CZK one hundred thousand together with a bronze cup from the organizers of the tournament. Except for the semi-finals breakdown against Bohemians, the players of FK Mladá Boleslav presented nice football in the Prague Sazka Arena during the Weekend of Champions and confirmed that they belong to the elite company.

However, the players of Liberec started the match for the bronze position better. Šinglár scored already in the 3rd minute but Poláček managed to equalize speedily. Ordoš turned the score on the side of Mladá Boleslav in the 8th minute and Frejlach equalized to 2:2 a minute before the break. Only the players of Mladá Boleslav scored after exchange of sides. Kulič in the 20th minute, Matějovský three minutes later and Abraham and Poláček during the last two minutes. The scorers always crowned nice combination attacks during which the players of Mladá Boleslav took the Liberec defence into pieces. The technical opponent in Liberec shirts obviously suited the players of Mladá Boleslav better than fiercely struggling green and white commando from Vršovice in the semifinal duel. However, football has many forms and only the team that scores more times can win. Also the small finals was played for 2 x 15 minutes and the following players alternated in team of FK Mladá Boleslav (number of goals scored in the small finals in brackets): Miller, Kučera, Palát, Rajnoch, Rolko, Ševinský, Kysela, Matějovský (1), Poláček (2), Abraham (1), Nečas, Ordoš (1), Mikolanda, Holub, Sedláček, Kulič (1) and Pecka. Coaches Uhrin and Čuhel.
