The First Exercise Was Full of Good Cheer

The players of FK Mladá Boleslav met after four weeks of winter holidays. Before they ran out on the pitch, they passed traditional weighing and also signing club calendars for the needs of sponsors and business partners of FK Mladá Boleslav. It was apparent on all of them that they had a rest and, full of energy and good temper, look forward to the new season.

Any of the players did not put on any extra kilos. Neither the coach did. "I have the same weight like I had a month before," reported the coach Dušan Uhrin. But he was more pleased with the fact that none of the players came with overweight than from his own unchanged weight. Most of the players underwent the first day of the new season in good temper. It was apparent on Kulič only that his thoughts turn to his new contract. "I would like the clubs to come to an agreement as soon as possible so that I could take part in preparation in my new team," admitted Kulič. The only newcomer in the team of Mladá Boleslav Nečas seemed to be diffident in apparent contrast to Abrahám, who on the contrary, teased almost everybody all the time.
Mikolanda also smiled. He has healed his injury and believes to start scoring. In spite of the fact that he missed a larger part of the autumn season, he did not manage to pass final examination in a hotel secondary school. I postponed it to this summer as the coaches and physicians prescribed me such rehabilitation program that I did not manage anything else," said Mikolanda with so serious voice that somebody maybe could believe it.
The players will spent a prevailing part of the winter period by exercises and matches on artificial pitch. But not all of them like it. "It is unpleasant load for my operated knee," complained the forward Radim Holub and added in a humour overstatement that he would maybe ask for a special training program with mere jogging in wood. He will be able to enjoy it in full extent during a one-week training camp in Nymburk aimed at persistence and endurance. Holub and his team-mates look forward at the time when football events move on natural pitches. But is will not take place sooner than during February's training camp in Cyprus.
The offensive striking couple of the team of Mladá Boleslav will be split by transfer of Kulič in Sparta. Pecka, the best striker of the team and also of Gambrinus League, yielded most from Kulič's speed and passes. "I will miss Kulič's passes," admitted Pecka. Who is going to replace him? "I do not know, we must test it during preparation." The coaches and players have eight weeks during which they pass two training camps and at least fifteen friendly matches for such testing.
