The last preparations for the match between FK Mladá Boleslav and Paris Saint Germain were the Wednesday training session in the Mladá Boleslav municipal stadium. From 4.30 p.m. eighteen players and three goalkeepers were training under the guidance of Uhrin. The eighteen-member group of Paris coach Lacombe began training shortly before 6 p.m.

The training sessions of both teams took place under pleasant conditions. It was not at all warm, but the cold air was still far away from wintry. The Mladá Boleslav training was participated in by eighteen players and three goalkeepers, in other words almost the complete cadre of players (Abraham, Rajnoch, Rolko, T. Sedláček, Vít, Kulič, Ševinský, Holub, Matějovský, Poláček, Brezinský, Ordoš, Palát, Kysela, Mikolanda, Šmerda, Vaculík, Pecka, Miller, Kučera and Šeda). Only Nesvadba, who has a cold, was missing. With the exception of Mikolanda, who did not play the final game on two goals, all the others did everything trainer Uhrin had planned.

In the shooting training Kulič hit the corners of the goal very successfully. "It will be fine,"said everyone who came into contact with him encouragingly after the training session, including the journalists. The Boleslav captain, who did not score a single goal all autumn, only looked sheepish and preferred not to make any promises. But when should he score the goals saved up if not in the most important match of the autumn? "I wouldn't say it is the most important match, but certainly one of the important ones," remarked Kulič's colleague in the forward line Pecka. Anyone who saw the smiling Sedláček immediately remembered how this warrior sliced into Olympique Marseille. "If it turned out the same way it would be fine," he said.

Questions concerning the fitness of the key warriors among the halfbacks, Abraham and Matějovský, were answered when both played an active part in the training. "My muscle is tugging a bit, but it will probably be OK," said Matějovský, who was kneading the injured part of his thigh at the end of the game with two goals. "There's nothing wrong with me now," said Abraham in confirmation of his fitness. It was said that in the last league match he had a cold, but the trainer was saving him for the European Cup because of hints of muscle problems.

Against Paris Saint Germain Mladá Boleslav could take the field with the following line-up: Miller - Ševinský, Rajnoch, Brezinský, Palát - Vaculík or Kysela, Abraham, Matějovský, Poláček - Kulič, Pecka.

Only eighteen of the Parisians were training, including two goalkeepers, and also among the players was Czech national representative David Rozehnal. From the information given by French journalists it emerges that Paris trainer Guy Lacombe will send against Mladá Boleslav a team with similar configuration to that for the weekend match against Nantes (1:1): Landreau -Yepes - Mendy, Armand, Rozehnal, Drame - Hellebuyck, Chantome - Kalou, Pauleta, Diane.
