Uhrin: It is good that all the teams have hope of promotion

In the second half of 2006 Mladá Boleslav played so many important and demanding matches that the mention of the importance of this last day in November sounds like a worn-out phrase. But of course for the much-wanted promotion to the spring phase of the UEFA Cup the duel between Mladá Boleslav and Paris Saint Germain really is of key importance, which applies for both sides. The one who loses leaves the game. The Mladá Boleslav trainer Dušan Uhrin is well aware of this.

What do you say to the development in group G of the UEFA Cup, where after three rounds all five teams are still in the game?

"It is very good that each of them has some hope and is playing for promotion. For us the match with Paris Saint Germain is very important for the creation of a good position before the last match in the group."

What will the Parisians bring to Mladá Boleslav and on what, as far as you know, is their game based?

"They play either in the classical 4-4-2 formation or in the 4-1-4-1 system, but from what I have seen it is characteristic of them that they change the formation in various ways and do not have a permanent formation. They rely on the performances of several excellent individuals, of which it is worth mentioning the Portuguese offensive player Pauleta, and among their mainstays is also Czech representative David Rozehnal."

Are your experiences from the recent match with another French team, Olympique Marseille, of any use to you?

"Not concretely, because with Paris Saint Germain it will be a completely different match from the two against Olympique Marseille. But for us every international match is a great new experience."

After the drawn league match on Sunday you said that in the rapid sequence of games you do not have time to deal with those that have already been played. Does this mean that the packed program helps you and the players to concentrate on the next future match?

"We have to do it by recalling only small things and not wasting time with extensive analysis and evaluation, which at present is also a good thing."

You doubtless enjoyed this autumn when it was so packed with football?

"It was certainly an interesting experience and because this is the first time I have seen a season so packed with national and international matches I made great use of information from my father, who had plenty of advice for me."

This autumn there was certainly no team in the Czech Republic as busy as Mladá Boleslav and so from this viewpoint your placing in the league and activity in national and European football is also a great success. Is this also how you see it?

"I am pleased that we have progressed in both the European and the Czech Cups and at the same time are staying to the fore in the league, but we shall only be doing the analysis and evaluation of the success of the autumn season once we have played all our matches."
