The players of Mladá Boleslav were welcomed by hospitable weather in Bucharest. The football delegation moved in two coaches with police escort from the airport in two hotels in the downtown within an hour.
Twenty Rumanian journalists expected Dušan Uhrin in the Bucharest airport hall immediately after passport control. They wanted to know with what tactics and with what objective Mladá Boleslav team came in Bucharest. "We play football in a similarly offensive style like Rapid so that the audience can look forward to an attractive match," said Uhrin in front of TV cameras and added self-confidently that Mladá Boleslav came for the first win in the standings of the UEFA Cup in the Rumanian capital. "We have respect for the strength of the opponent but we are afraid of nobody which was demonstrated by our players by elimination of the strong Marseille club and we intend to play for win also in Bucharest," sent the head-coach of Mladá Boleslav his message to the Bucharest rival seated on the third position of the Rumanian league. One of local journalists asked Uhrin whether the match in Bucharest would be the last hope for qualifying for Mladá Boleslav. "Certainly not because there are other two matches ahead of us, however, we want to win in Bucharest."
The players of Mladá Boleslav will undergo a training exercise from 7.00 p.m. in Wednesday's evening and they will line up for the match of the third round of the UEFA Cup against Rapid Bucharest at 8.15 p.m. in Thursday's evening. The match will be governed by a triple of Austrian referees.
