The team of Dušan Uhrin had to face a deal of healthy complications in the latest days which was emphasized by the head-coach of Mladá Boleslav at a meeting with journalists after the last official training session twenty-four hours before the Thursday's duel against Panathinaikos Athens. He cannot count with Abraham, Riegel and Mikolanda because of injuries and Šmerda is suspended for yellow cards. It means that Uhrin misses two defensive midfielders so that Rajnoch or Vít or potentially Ilongo, a national player of Congo will play together with Matějovský in midfield line in the cup match.

Abraham will treat an injured toe on his foot two more weeks, Mikolanda starts only slight jogging after an ankle injury Riegel waits for a term of operation of his cross ligament in November. The goalkeeper Miller was eliminated till the last week because of his broken metacarpal bone. "He will be able to stand in the goal against Greeks," said the club doctor Josef Horák.
The complete team of Mladá Boleslav underwent flu virosis in the days between the league matches against Brno and Slavia, Matějovský, Palát,Vaculík and Poláček even with very dramatic course. Other fellow-players suffered from pains in joints, general fatigue of organism and other accompanying effects of flu disease. "It was a reaction to vaccination to which the players were subjected immediately after the match in Brno, but all players will be in order for the Thursday's match against Panathinaikos," said doctor Horák. His words were confirmed by view of the pitch during the Wednesday's one-hour training exercise in which all players took part with enthusiasm despite of unpleasantly cold weather. Only snowflakes falling down were missing. This was substantially less unpleasant for the players from Mladá Boleslav than for those from Athens.
