Uhrin Dislikes Most when the Players Play Laxly

Redakce

The players of Mladá Boleslav and their head-coach Dušan Uhrin could hardly wait for the break for national team matches in the beginning of October so that they could recover both psychically and physically after tremendous stress resulting from playing both in the league and in cups. Before it came, they suffered the first league defeat in Teplice. And they suffered also another defeat in Brno after three weeks.

Are the recent 0 : 2 defeats of Mladá Boleslav in Teplice and in Brno similar in anything?

"I do not see much similarity in them. We played well in the first half and gave out completely in the second half in Teplice. The match in Brno was quite different, we did not play well from the beginning, the players in the midfield did not keep the ball and all our players lacked verve for the complete match."

Was the quality of play in the midfield affected by absence of Abraham in the match in Brno?

"It was not. I see the main reason for poor playing performance in the fact that the players approached the match in Brno half-heartedly, they missed the opponent's goal at chances and lacked the above mentioned verve."

What do you dislike most of the aforesaid failures?

"My biggest complain is that the players showed half-hearted performance.

Are not they in European Cup and thus also out of the league by their thinking?

"Certainly not, but the league competition is very even, each league match is different and very difficult and we have lost two consequent away matches. We must get over it and continue in playing."

What should the players of Mladá Boleslav watch in the match against Slavia Prague?

"Slavia Prague is a very good team. It is characterized by a quality fluent transition in forward with frequent utilization of wing areas where in particular Vlček is able to get the ball quickly behind the opponent's defence. We will have to pay great attention to that."

Who is a front-runner when Mladá Boleslav failed in the match in Brno and Slavia Prague was not fully successful in the home match against Jablonec one week ago?

"There is much at stake in the match of Mladá Boleslav against Slavia and I do not dare to brand any of the teams as a front-runner. With respect to the fact that we play on home pitch, we want and must win."

Do you think brutality on football pitches really to increase as it has been much written and spoken recently?

"The players are forced to play with full effort for the whole match and to complete each duel and so I do not consider potential injuries to be caused deliberately. Not even those much discussed in newspapers and on TV nowadays."
