It Was Very Good Match, Praised Both Coaches

Both coaches awarded the players high marks for their performances after the match between Mladá Boleslav and České Budějovice. Their teams presented themselves with offensive styles what the audience certainly liked. In spite of the fact that they saw six goals, they had to wait for final result and confirmation of the victory of the home side till the last minute. But the win of Mladá Boleslav was absolutely deserved. "We played brisk football," praised Dušan Uhrin that the break in the league schedule for the matches of the national team apparently helped the players of Mladá Boleslav to shake off tiredness from the preceding load of league and cup matches.

"I am not going to say that everything was excellent but we certainly could watch very good match with many sections of an excellent level," said in the opening of his assessment the head-coach of České Budějovice František Cipro who praised his team for bothering Mladá Boleslav till the end even without six players of the basic line-up. "Unfortunately we got nothing, which was decided by the silly sending-off of Táborský who belonged among the best players of the match till his leaving the pitch. Then we could not achieve better result in ten men," added Cipro. He saw the only blot on the high-quality match in another weakening of his squad for the next league match as Bureš saw the fourth yellow card and the sent off Táborský will also be probably suspended and Plocek was substituted because of suspicion of meniscus injury.
The head-coach of Mladá Boleslav Dušan Uhrin was satisfied much more. "We played very actively and took the two-goal lead deservedly in the first half, however, we got a silly contact goal from a penalty kick, which affected our performance unfavourably," said Uhrin satisfied with the way how his players created scoring chances. "I am glad that we have won," said he with relief, but almost uselessly.
The referee Jára sent the captain Kulič to the bench of Mladá Boleslav twenty minutes before the end of the match with the message that the head-coach Uhrin had to leave his place. The audience addressed the referee abusive shouts and Uhrin managed his team in the end of the match from the stand by shouting across the fence. "I do not know for what he sent me off, but it happened me for the first time in my career," noted Uhrin and the sport director Zdeněk Kudela completed his comment immediately. "The referee stated in the match report that it was for unacceptable gesticulation with respect to his person," specified Kudela the reasons for temporary Uhrin's banishment.
