Boleslav Maintains Invincibility and is Leading the League by Two Points

Redakce

In the pleasant autumn evening the longing of Mladá Boleslav for win was multiplied by the news that Liberec had lost two points in a North Bohemian derby with Jablonec. After an unexpectedly close match with Zlín, Mladá Boleslav gained a margin of two points in the head of the league and necessary self-confidence before Thursday's encounter with French Olympique Marseille.

Zlín surprised by an offensive style of game and in the 12th minute was close to scoring a leading goal. Vaculík passed inaccurately at the half line; Zlín's Zapletal speeded along the right wing and after his centre Bača headered into the crossbar of Miller's goal. In the 19th minute, Boleslav's goalkeeper foiled another Zlín's chance of Kraus by timely running out. On the other side, Zlámal saved Vaculík's shot after combining by Matějovský and Pecka in the 14th minute. In the 25th minute Poláček executed a corner kick, the ball got to the opposite side of the goal area. Palát returned it back in front of the goal, where fierce Pecka shot twice from the goal area and scored with a little help from Zlín's central defender Zbožínek - 1:0. In the 40th minute Boleslav's defenders handled the Kraus' and Vidlička's cooperation only at a price of a corner kick and after it Zúbek missed the Miller's goal. In the 43rd minute Kulič ran alone to the Zlín's goal, but Janíček reached him and blocked his shot cleanly.
In the second half both teams played open football as well and there was no shortage of dramatic moments in front of both goals. Miller helped Boleslav's squad by a fantastic intervention in the 52nd minute when he deflected Kraus' shot above the crossbar after the failure of Boleslav's central defender Rajnoch. Seven minutes later unmarked Bača headered right into the arms of well-standing Boleslav's goalkeeper. It was Kulič who wore resinous football boots this time; not once did he beat the Zlín's goalkeeper, even though he had most chances of all home players.
In the 47th minute after Poláček's centre he missed the goal, three minutes later he did not shoot after Pecka's pass, in the 69th minute his shot went behind the goalkeeper Zlámal, but the defenders managed to kick off the blocked ball away. In the 84th minute he was knocked down by Šmahaj while attempting to shoot in the penalty area, but the referee did not blow the whistle a foul. Scoring a goal also did not turn out right for Kulič's team-mates Pecka, Palát, Rajnoch, Matějovský and Poláček. The result of the match was therefore unsure until the last minute and the three-point safety was arranged by experienced Holub.
In the fourth minute of extra time Zlín got an advantage of a corner kick near the corner flag and the goalkeeper Zlámal set out on the Boleslav's penalty area to support the Zlín's offence. However, Boleslav took control of the ball, Kulič passed to free Holub who hit the forsaken goal from the half of the football pitch - 2:0.
