Strikers Were Successful only in the Last Quarter
The striker Pecka executed Příbram for the second time this year. By two goals in spring and by one marvellous shot this time. The first half brought no goals and, after uneasy beginning part, it was played mostly under control of the players from Mladá Boleslav the combinations of whom were more precise and more inventive than those of the rival. However, Příbram's Otepka nearly got face to face of Miller after long Pařízek's kick-off and insecure Vaculík's header in the 18th minute, but Miller saved resolutely by timely running out. Another Otepka's breaking effort was stopped by Abraham in the 27th minute. But the Příbram's goalkeeper was busier. Brezinský's shot from the boundary of the goal area cleared the goal after Kulič's corner kick, Pařízek saved Abraham's smashing shot and Vaculík missed unprotected goal of Příbram, Matějovský ended his solo by a technical shot to the left-hand post and Pařízek had to stretch properly and finally the Příbram's goalkeeper saved a quick attack of Kulič and Pecka by a fearless jump under the legs of forwards shortly before the break.
What our players failed to do for most of the match, they managed during the last quarter. Příbram's players tried to shoot long distance shots but they either missed the goal or hit Miller. Mladá Boleslav tried to overcome the opponent players by combining and patient waiting for standard situations. Kulič executed a corner kick in the 77th minute and Příbram's defence failed to mark Palát who had time to aim precisely and beat Pařízek by his header - 0:1. The home side managed to equalize shortly after that. Bartoš passed unexpectedly easily behind three opponent players in the 82nd minute and Kaplan could shoot after his pass from the boundary of the goal area. He aimed precisely along Miller to the closer post - 1:1. Rolko prolonged ball by his header after a free kick aimed in the Příbram's penalty area in the 87th minute and Pecka was on the right place in the right time. His smashing shot was stopped only by the net behind Pařízek's back - 1:2. Holub shot nicely in the last moment of four-minute extra time, Příbram's goalkeeper rebounded the ball to Kulič, but he missed the goal.
