Holub scored after four minutes on the pitch
The players of Mladá Boleslav showed excellent performance like a big team in league opening. They struggled against their own fatigue, stubborn rival as well as a fallible referee. But they succeeded in overcoming all such obstacles. For all that, they deserved three points and proper ovation of the satisfied audience who also booed the referee out of stage with pleasure. Not only for his ordering a penalty against Mladá Boleslav in the first half, but mainly for denying the home team a penalty kick after the break.
Mladá Boleslav tried surprise the rival from Olomouc like the Norwegian champion by crushing start. Palát got the ball in the net of the goalkeeper Lovásik already in the third minute, however, the referees denied the goal because of an offside position. Mladá Boleslav players played sluggishly and missed verve for most of the first half. Palát presented force in the home team penalty area in a duel against Štěpán who fallen down, however, the referee let the game continue and only after Olomouc did not succeed to score, he whistled a penalty kick. Randa converted the penalty kick in a goal safely in the 35th minute. He aimed close to the left-hand post while Kučera risked jump to the right-hand one - 0:1. Mladá Boleslav failed to respond to the goal sustained and lost the first half. But they rectified everything after the break even if it did not look well for long time. The coach Uhrin decided to make the second substitution in the 68th minute. He withdrew Poláček from the pitch and deployed Holub in the match. He found his bearings during four minutes so perfectly that equalized. Kysela who substituted Vaculík during the break threw long out ball in the 72nd minute, Ševinský prolonged it with head in the penalty area and very experienced Holub headed with overview in the net opposite to the direction of motion of the goalkeeper Lovásik - 1:1. Mladám Boleslav players tried to get in the penalty area of Olomouc persistently and held the ball in the rival's half for long periods. Holub had another chance, however, he missed it. Mladá Boleslav got their reward only in the 86th minute. After a corner kick and muddle in front of the Olomouc goal, newcomer Ordoš missed good chance for scoring but immediately after that the stopper Brezinský kicked through a cluster of defending players including the goalkeeper successfully - 2:1. It was his first league goal in his twenty-first match in the top competition. Olomouc's Kobylík was only a few centimetres far from equalizing three minutes later, but fortunately for Mladá Boleslav, he hit only cross bar. Even five minutes of extra time changed nothing on the win of Mladá Boleslav.
