The rehearsal ended up in a no goal tie
At the Wednesday afternoon press briefing that preceded the match rehearsal against the French team from Rennes, the coach Uhrin announced a ninety percent champion line-up. Compared to the spring there was only one newcomer, Abrahám in the midfield. He considerably changed the basic line-up only in the last quarter hour. At that time luck was not at Mladá Boleslav side because Diop hit the post and Keibo the crossbar.
The Frenchmen started with five halfbacks and only one forward Briand and thus the home team launched an attack. In the 2nd minute Ševinský headed the Kulič's feathery arch from the penalty kick only to the goalkeeper. In the 8th minute attentive Kučera brought into line Briand's surprising shot from the edge of the area. The next French opportunity of heading Bru ended also at well-positioned Kučera. Three minutes later running off goalkeeper N´Diaye halted Pecka's break and Vaculík sent the knocked ball off the vacated goal. Kulič started the second quarter hour by a shot from twenty meters closely by the right post.
The spectators awarded the combinative action in the 25th minute by an applause however Pecka at the end aimed to the goalkeeper and from the immediate counter-attack Briand himself went after Kučera who run out up to the area boundary and knocked out the ground shot. In the 55th minute Marveaux crudely fouled against Kysela by the sideline, the goalkeeper N´Diaye boxed Kulič's centre from the penalty kick out into the area and also safely knocked out Abrahám's shot. Ten minutes later on the other side Hadji's shot ended up by a corner kick however French did not endanger the goal. In the 68th minute the goalkeeper knocked out Ševinský's long rocket shot above the crossbar and Palát headed in the clear chance after Kulič's corner kick above the goal.
In the 76th minute after Kulič's penalty kick fresh Sedláček lost the chance and Ševinský missed the ball knocked out by the goalkeeper in the goal area. Ten minutes before the end the French threatened three times in quick succession. Diop's touched shot ended up at the left post of Kučera's goal, Brezinský stopped Keib's penetration at the last moment and Kučera knocked out next Keib's shot. In the last but one minute disposed kicker Keib hit the crossbar from twenty meters.
