Football St. Nicholas at school and children’s home
They managed to participate in the start of lessons in the sports academy classes at the Pastelka 9th elementary school as well as to visit the Na Celně Children’s Home in the afternoon. They presented gifts and a good mood and supported the Advent atmosphere everywhere. They also confirmed that football is a natural part of both the common and festive lives of people of all generations in Mladá Boleslav.
Football St. Nicholas together with devils and angels were very busy on Friday, December 5. They managed to participate in the start of lessons in the sports academy classes at the Pastelka 9th elementary school as well as to visit the Na Celně Children’s Home in the afternoon. They presented gifts and a good mood and supported the Advent atmosphere everywhere. They also confirmed that football is a natural part of both the common and festive lives of people of all generations in Mladá Boleslav.
The St. Nicholas delegation of FK Mladá Boleslav in the sports academy at the Pastelka 9th elementary school consisted of president Dufek, the players Mendy and Sylvestre and some members of the club's management Koros, Holický, Prostecký and Šrajerová.
Football St. Nicholas assessed the behaviour of the pupils of the sports academy during the year as it slowly draws to its end. The children recited rhymes and sang songs in turn. And of course, presents came too. St. Nicholas and the angels presented Advent calendars and the earthly delegation from FK Mladá Boleslav added a 2009 club calendar and a shirt signed by all the Boleslav players for each class. Everybody warmly wished themselves a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
President Dufek, his colleagues from the club’s management Koros and Holický and players from the league team Miller, Rolko, Ševinský, Pecka, Mendy and Sylvestre visited the Na Celně Children’s Home on behalf of FK Mladá Boleslav. They were accompanied by the pastor Veith, a great football supporter and initiator of December’s benefit concert in Kosmonosy.
Football St. Nicholas presented gifts to the inhabitants of the children’s home in the form of sweets, DVDs, football souvenirs and invitations to the spring Gambrinus liga matches. Moreover, a cheque for CZK 15,000 which was a partial yield from the benefit concert in Kosmonosy, was presented to the management of the children’s home. The children really enjoyed the visit of the league football players and were interested in participating in some of their training exercises sometimes.
